Mental Health

Just like physical health, everyone also has mental health, and we all need to care for our mental health. Sometimes, we may need resources for taking care of our mental health. Find more information and resources here!

Learn more about mental health

Our mental health affects the way we think, feel, and act. It also influences how we handle stress, connect to one another, and make decisions. Use the links below to learn more about what mental health is and how we can take care of our own, support other people, and get support when we need it.

Community Health & Counseling Resources

All of the following resources are either free or sliding scale, which means that people pay different amounts depending on their income as a way to make their services easier to access for people without a lot of money to spend on counseling or healthcare.

Before you call: there’s a different between “confidential” and “anonymous” resources. An anonymous resource does not keep any information about you. They won't even track the number that you’re calling from. A confidential resource has the ability to track where you're calling from. Sometimes, they'll just record your phone number and use it to connect you to a local call center, or sometimes they can use it to identify where you're calling from. Sometimes, they don't use this information at all. When calling any resource, you can ask what information they'll be tracking, how they're planning to use that information, and/or why they need that information before you share anything.
