Panel: Destigmatizing Reproductive Health

  • Presented Virtually on Zoom (map)

On March 10, CWHC's Outreach & Education Director, Scout Bratt, will join Terri Kapsalis (writer, educator, performer, and long-time CWHC collective member) and OB-GYN and educator Wendy C. Goodall in a conversation that will address historical and contemporary misconceptions of the female body. Panelists will also delve into the history of women’s reproductive health care and how the fields of gynecology and obstetrics have been shaped by race and class-based discrimination.

The panel is part of a series of events connected to the exhibit Reproductive: Health, Fertility, Agency at the Museum of Contemporary Photography, which explores the psychological, physical, and emotional realities people encounter in the years leading up to, during, and after fertility. Exhibition curators Karen Irvine and Kristin Taylor will be moderating the panel. Learn more about the exhibit here.

Registration for the panel is required to receive the Zoom link - click here for more information or to register.
