Partners in Transition

Next group offered Fall 2010.   Date and time TBD.

Love your partner?  Let's talk.

Are you frustrated with your friends and coworkers misunderstanding your identity, partner and relationship?  Have you felt backlash from your friends or others about appearing hetero-normative?

Have you had positive experiences you want to share?

A person's transition (both medical and non-medical) affects not only that individual, but also their partner.  Join us to get support, information and share resources.  This 6-week group will provide a space for women and men currently in a relationship with an individual who identifies on the trans- spectrum (including FTM, MTF, gender queer, etc). Topics of discussion will include: identity, communication, gender privilege, community, sexuality, culture and support systems.  This group is offered in conjunction with Chicago Women's Health Center and Howard Brown Health Center.  Guest speakers will present on health, wellness and legal issues.  Click here to register online, or call Lisa Katona at HBHC at 773-572-6981.
